The CNPA Foundation announces its 2013 Newspaper Internship Grants Program. Up to six $1,500 internship grants are available for students interested in careers with California newspaper companies.
Notifications have gone out to college and university newspaper advisers and department heads. Please consider contacting your local campus to identify the qualified students who may be your 2013 interns.
Applications are accepted from full-time 3.0+ GPA sophomores, juniors or seniors pursuing newspaper journalism, advertising or marketing careers. The Foundation requires that students secure California newspaper internships on their own before they receive these grants.
In mid-November, the Foundation will identify finalists from applications submitted by the deadline. Upon successful completion of the interview, up to six finalists will receive internship grant confirmation letters. The CNPA Foundation issues the finalist a check when he or she begins the internship.
CNPA Foundation interns in 2012 served at the San Francisco Chronicle, The Fresno Bee, The Hanford Sentinel, The Davis Enterprise and The Orange County Register.
