Internship grants
The CNPA Foundation offers internship grants to worthy college students dedicated to pursuing careers in California newspapers in the fields of journalism, advertising and marketing. Winning applicants for these grants are required to obtain and serve a summer internship at a CNPA-member newspaper in California in order to receive their grant award.
Equipment grants
The CNPA Foundation offers Campus Newspaper Equipment grants each spring for CNPA-member campus newspapers to upgrade their newspaper production equipment. CNPA's high school and college member newspapers may apply. The campus newspaper adviser submits an essay demonstrating a need for new or upgraded production equipment to improve the newspaper's overall production operation.
NIE and training
The Foundation also supports educational services including Newspaper in Education programs and training programs related to the California newspaper business.
