Though his weekly Holtville Tribune, in Imperial County, has been around for 105 years, Publisher Steven Larson says, he's been on the masthead just since 1990. In an anniversary column, he takes readers on a technological field trip from 1970s-era production to today. "At the end of 2008, we upgraded our website and began impacting its effectiveness by taking in Facebook and YouTube, two of the most popular sites on the web," Larsen writes. "As of September we are also working to add Twitter to our repertoire."
