Consumers ask: 'What's the deal?'

When looking for deals and bargains, 49 percent of U.S. consumers still favor the Sunday newspaper, said an August 2011 report from Austin, Texas-based Scarborough Research, a CNPA Allied Member.

After that, their sources for household coupons are: in-store coupons, mail, in-store circulars and preferred customer/loyalty cards.

The Scarborough report also focuses on local categories that "Digital Deal Seekers" patronize most.
